Commonly required documents

  • Government-issued identity document
  • Academic certificates or award parchments
  • Complete academic transcripts
  • Current curriculum vitae or résumé
  • Evidence of employment, management or professional experience where required
  • Statement of purpose or applicant declaration
  • English-language evidence where applicable
  • Name-change evidence where documents use different names
  • Certified translations for documents not issued in English

  • Detailed subject outlines for credit applications
  • Professional licences or memberships where relevant
  • Portfolio, writing sample or admissions task
  • Research proposal or concept paper for DBA applicants

Document quality

Scans should be complete, legible, in colour where necessary and include all pages, seals, signatures and reverse-side information. Screenshots, cropped images or altered files may not be accepted.

Where certification is required, documents must be certified by an authorised person in accordance with AMU’s published requirements.

Application checklist

  1. Confirm the exact requirements for your program.
  2. Check that names and dates are consistent across documents.
  3. Obtain certified copies and translations where required.
  4. Use clear filenames such as Surname_Transcript.pdf.
  5. Upload documents through the official AMU application system.
  6. Retain copies of everything submitted.
